Hannah Batrous DeMore  

Dean of High School, Varsity Twirling Instructor, Girls Varsity Basketball

Hannah Batrous DeMore is a native of Washington, Georgia, and a 2003 graduate of Briarwood Academy. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Georgia and is certified in AP Calculus.

Mrs. DeMore is in her 19th year of teaching high school mathematics at Briarwood, where she has taught every grade level. Beyond the classroom, she has been deeply involved in athletics. She coached varsity softball and led the Lady Bucs to their first State Championship in 2010. She has also coached middle school basketball, varsity basketball for 19 years, and varsity track, helping coach the 2010 State Championship Track Team. In addition, she has served for many years as the Varsity Twirling Instructor.

As a Briarwood student, Mrs. DeMore lettered in softball, basketball, track, and twirling. She was a member of the 2001 and 2002 AA State Champion Track Teams.

She and her husband, Donny—a 2004 Briarwood graduate—live in Norwood with their three children: Banks (10th grade), Jase (6th grade), and Emmie (1st grade).
